Dr. Shaily Gandhi
Dr. Shaily Gandhi is a GeoAI and Urban Systems Strategist working at the intersection of spatial intelligence, climate resilience, and digital transformation. With over twelve years of international experience across Europe and India, she specializes in designing and operationalizing geospatial data systems that convert complex urban data into decision-ready intelligence. Her work integrates advanced analytics, governance frameworks, and systems thinking to enable data-driven urban transformation.
She currently serves as Head of Data Science at PropX in Austria, where she leads data innovation by building scalable data architectures and advanced analytics models. In parallel, she is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the GeoSocial Artificial Intelligence Research Group at IT:U Linz, advancing research in GeoAI, social sensing, and AI-powered urban analytics. Her expertise extends beyond model development to embedding data systems within institutional and policy contexts to generate measurable impact.
Dr. Gandhi has led and contributed to nationally and internationally funded initiatives across climate adaptation, disaster intelligence, mobility systems, and urban heat mitigation. Recognized as one of Geospatial World’s 50 Rising Stars and awarded the International Science Council Fellowship, she actively contributes to global data governance and research data science communities.
